Modal Chords

In music, it sounds pleasant to stack thirds, we also see this pattern in the harmonic series.

Stacking three thirds is called a chord.

Each of the seven natural notes creates a chord, yet the quality of each chords is different.

Whether the thirds are major or minor determine the quality.

I.9.C

Tonal Gravity

The first chord is the tonic chord. This chord holds the most gravity and affects all the other chords and melodies sounded.
